Grief Refuge Group Retreats

Community gatherings in nature’s finest

Grief Refuge group retreats are healing experiences that help grievers feel understood and cared for. The retreats are an invitation to share your grief journey with others who won’t judge, and to find your way forward amidst the weight of grief. It IS possible to have joy and meaning again, beyond the loss of your loved one. Grief Refuge retreats provide a safe space for your healing. We invite you to join us for this transformational time of healing, personal development, rest, and connection.

Your experience includes facilitation from grief care experts as they share stories, guidelines, and strategies, as well as having the option to participate in restorative group sessions. Empathetic people who understand this journey you are on will hold space for you and will provide guidance regarding how to process your loss and pave a path forward.

Grief Refuge Group Retreats Provide Sacred Space To Hold You Through Deeper Healing

Nature heals. As does self-care. But in modern society, it’s hard to find time to be in nature and do the things that honor your self-care. Wouldn’t it be nice to show up somewhere and feel completely present to your healing essence? Wouldn’t it be nice to just ‘be’ and share your grief with a community who will bear witness without judgment, advice, or other ‘nonsense’ that doesn’t really help?

Grief Refuge group retreats bring you into nature to honor your healing with nurturance and care. In nature, there’s something extra settling and soothing about grief feeling held. Nature restores. The benefits are countless.

Nature balances us. Nature softens many if not all the normal symptoms of grief. It eases anxiety, depression, anger, and stress. It also boosts endorphins, self-esteem, resilience, and joy. Dr. Alan Wolfelt
