What do you do when you don't want to feel the way grief makes you feel?
It's hard to talk about it with other people because they may try to change the way you feel, and somehow, that doesn't help or it makes you feel worse.
You can talk to a professional. Yet, you take a risk that they may think you need 'treatment.'
You can't avoid or deny the feelings, because, they may disappear in the short term, but they will be with you in the long term - and the moment you slow down and open up some space, they will hit you like a tidal wave.
What you can do when you don't want to feel the way grief makes you feel - is to tend to your broken heart. It needs healing and that can happen only when you give your heart attention, compassion, and care.
As illogical as that sounds - that will change how grief makes you feel and you will feel better
