Grief Support for Widowed Men
Even though everyone’s grief journey is unique, there are still expectations and preconceived notions for how someone is supposed to grieve. “How can I be strong? Am I grieving right? Is it okay to feel this way?” These are some of the things that men as widowed fathers can think and feel throughout their grief.
Grief Refuge published a podcast episode, of which is an interview with Dr. Justin Yopp. Justin is a psychologist and member of the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program at the North Carolina Cancer Hospital. On the podcast episode, Justin shares a conversation with Reid about some of the stereotypes, emotions, and approaches to grieving that men as widowed fathers endure.
